I began my journey of conscious self-awareness with psychodrama, but I couldn’t see myself continuing with that method—it didn’t feel entirely right for me. During the first year of Covid, I attended a festival where I was introduced to various body-awareness methods, and it became clear that body-centered methods were a “natural fit” for me. From then on, I found myself in the groups of Moving Man and the Bodywork association. The world opened up for me, and my body began to guide me. Approaching 40, I realized that intimacy and free dance were also essential parts of my life, so I began practicing contact dance. During the Moving Man workshops, I was able to experience both my gentle side and my strength. My focus increasingly shifted towards self-awareness and psychology, and I felt a calling to accompany others on their own journeys of self-discovery.
This led me to immerse myself in Moving Man’s facilitator training, alongside several enthusiastic companions. As an engineer, the helping profession was far removed from my background, but over time, I grew certain that I truly had a place among those who guide others. Over the summer, I facilitated men’s workshops at two festivals, and the positive feedback, as well as the experience of being able to support my fellow men even in challenging situations, was deeply fulfilling.
I am continuously developing myself to be able to accompany and support you with empathy during the workshops! I believe that every bit of self-awareness work we do for ourselves serves not only our own well-being but also that of our environment and society.
